You must try this! You must try that! It’s the newest/greatest/best thing!
Hang on.
One size does not fit all. Even if some tool/technique/product worked best for your friend or your sister, it does not mean that it will be the best for you.
Want to try something different? Look at what you’ve enjoyed using in the past or what’s really worked well for you. This can pertain to anything in life but it’s especially true for productivity tools.
Are you looking for a better way to record your to-dos and to plan ahead? Consider if you are more tactile (you learning by touching) and/or kinesthetic (you learn by doing) or some other combinations of modalities (how we process and take in information). Perhaps a paper planner and calendar are ideal for you. The size of the spaces, the feel of the paper, and even the color of the cover may motivate you to use it more.
Are you more digitally oriented? Great! There are many options out there but only a few will appeal to your sense of visual style or how well it integrates with other apps (or other people in your life).
Everyone is different. Don’t be afraid to try new things but just learn how to trust in your own gut to tell you what is right or wrong for you.
You are the best judge of that.

You may discover something really useful - or at least find out what does or doesn’t appeal to you. That’s the first step in discovering the next best thing (for you!).
